What is PALM Expo 2026?

PALM Expo is a business-only trade show for the people who work in sound, light and live entertainment technology. It covers pro audio equipment, musical instruments, stage and architectural lighting, install sound, recording and music production gear, rigging and staging, rental companies and AV integration. The show has run in Mumbai every year since 2001, which makes it the longest-standing platform of its kind in India.

The 2026 edition is co-located with AV-ICN Expo 2026, which focuses on the audio visual and integrated control side of the industry: digital signage, displays, video walls, conferencing and AV-over-IP. The two shows share the same venue, the same dates and a single trade badge, so visitors usually treat them as one combined event. The 2025 edition drew over 26,000 unique visitors and a total footfall close to 40,000, spread across roughly 40,000 square metres of exhibition space, with more than 500 brands exhibiting.

For context, 2026 is the second edition under Informa Markets in India. The show previously ran under Hyve India before Informa acquired that business in 2025. For visitors, nothing about the show has changed: PALM Expo is still the annual gathering point for India's sound, lighting, vision and live entertainment trade.

PALM Expo 2026 dates, timings and how to reach the venue

PALM Expo 2026 takes place from Thursday 28 May to Saturday 30 May 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NESCO Complex, Western Express Highway, Goregaon East, Mumbai 400063. Show timings vary by day. On 28 and 29 May the halls are open from 10 AM to 6 PM. On 30 May the show closes an hour early, running 10 AM to 5 PM, so plan your final-day visit accordingly.

BEC is one of India's largest exhibition complexes and it is easy to reach. It is about 25 minutes by road from Terminal 2 of Mumbai International Airport, right next to Ram Mandir railway station on the Western Line, and served by Goregaon East metro station on Mumbai Metro Line 7. If you are driving in, BEC has around 2,000 on-site parking spaces. No hall numbers have been published yet, so check the official site closer to the show for the floor plan.

What to expect on the show floor

PALM Expo 2026 is laid out around the parts of the live and install technology world that usually get specified separately. Alongside the exhibition stands, there is a set of named feature zones and programmes that give the show its shape.

Pro audio and live sound

  • Line array systems, digital mixing consoles and immersive audio platforms

  • Wireless microphones, in-ear monitor systems and install sound gear

  • The HARMAN Live Arena, a dedicated space for live performances and full-system demonstrations

Lighting, staging and rigging

  • Moving heads, LED stage fixtures and lighting control consoles

  • Truss, rigging and stage automation systems

  • The Lighting Design Showcase, a curated area built around lighting design work

The Demo Qube stations are worth seeking out across both the audio and lighting halls. These are purpose-built rooms set up for side-by-side comparison, so you can hear and see competing systems in controlled conditions rather than across a noisy aisle.

AV integration via AV-ICN Expo

  • Digital signage software platforms, displays and video walls

  • Conferencing, collaboration and unified communications systems

  • Control rooms, AV-over-IP and signal management solutions

Conference, workshops and awards

The PALM Conference runs across all three days with sessions from audio, lighting and business experts. There is also a hands-on Rigging and Trussing Workshop for technicians who want practical training, and the CAVS (Certified AV Specialist) certification programme for AV professionals looking to formalise their skills. The PALM Sound & Light Awards recognise achievements in sound and lighting, and the IRAA Awards, the Indian Recording Arts Academy Awards, honour recording and mixing work.

Who should attend PALM Expo 2026?

PALM Expo 2026 is built for anyone whose work involves sound, light, vision or live event production. You will get value from the visit if your role sits in any of these areas:

  • Sound engineers, FOH and monitor engineers, and live event production teams

  • Lighting designers, stage technicians and rigging specialists

  • AV system integrators and pro AV consultants

  • Digital signage integrators and AV channel partners

  • Recording studio owners, music producers and mixing engineers

  • Event production, rental and staging companies

  • Architects, acoustic consultants and AV designers

Why PALM Expo 2026 matters for digital signage professionals

PALM Expo's roots are in pro audio, but the co-located AV-ICN Expo has turned the combined event into one of the more useful annual stops for digital signage and AV integration professionals in India. AV-ICN puts digital signage software, LED displays, video walls and AV-over-IP in the same building as the audio, lighting and control gear they often ship alongside.

The practical advantage is real. One trip to Mumbai and one trade badge let you evaluate the whole AV stack: software, displays, mounting, audio and control. If you are scoping screens for retail, banking, education, hospitality or corporate projects, that breadth helps. Many of the integrators on the floor also work in corporate office digital signage, so it is a good place to compare notes. Before you walk the floor, our guide to digital signage software features and our breakdown of cloud versus on-premise digital signage are both worth a read so you know what to ask vendors. If partnerships are on your agenda, the Wilyer partner programme is a natural angle to discuss with software vendors you meet.

How to register for PALM Expo 2026

Trade visitor registration for PALM Expo 2026 is done online at registration.palmexpo.in. The official visitor registration fee is INR 750, including GST, and the same registration covers the co-located AV-ICN Expo, so you only fill the form once. You will need a business email and basic company details to complete it. The show is open to trade professionals only, not the general public. If you want to enrol in the CAVS certification programme, that has a separate sign-up on the same registration site.

Travel and planning tips

PALM Expo lands in Mumbai's hottest, most humid stretch of the year, so plan for the weather as much as the show. A few things that help:

  • Fly into Mumbai (BOM). Both terminals are within about 25 minutes of the venue

  • Stay in Goregaon, Andheri East or Andheri West for the shortest commute

  • Use Mumbai Metro Line 7 to Goregaon East, or the Western Line to Ram Mandir. Both usually beat road traffic

  • Plan at least two days to cover both PALM Expo and AV-ICN Expo properly

  • Remember the early close on 30 May. The final day ends at 5 PM, not 6 PM

  • Bring earplugs if you plan to spend long stretches in the audio demo zones
