Choosing the best digital signage software in India comes down to five things: what you pay in rupees once GST is added, whether your data can stay on your own servers, which TVs and players you already own, what keeps playing when the internet drops, and how much you can test before you pay. We compared seven tools sold in India on exactly those five, using the prices and features each vendor publishes.
The result: Wilyer is the only one of the seven that clears all five. Made in India by Wilyer Private Limited in Gurugram, it shows rupee prices with GST, runs in the cloud or on your own servers, names ten player platforms, plays offline, and lets you trial 15 screens for 14 days with no card. Below is the evidence, followed by an honest look at where each of the other six fits.
A note before you read: we make Wilyer. That is why every competitor fact below comes from the vendor's own website, read from India on 16 October 2026, and why we say where another tool is the better pick. Wilyer facts come from Wilyer's own pricing and product pages.
The Short Answer: Which Digital Signage Software Is Best in India?
For most Indian businesses, and especially for multi-branch chains, hospitals, banks, government offices and enterprises with data rules, Wilyer is the strongest choice. It is built and billed in India, it is the only tool here that covers every one of the five criteria above, and it is proven at the scale Indian rollouts actually reach.
The other six each win a narrower case. piSignage has the lowest list price if you run only Raspberry Pi players. Yodeck has a free plan for a single screen. Xibo suits IT teams that want open source and will run their own server. Pickcel and Navori bill in rupees with on-premise options, and JioSignage sells players, software and support as one package on quote.
Digital Signage Software in India: The Scorecard
This table puts the seven side by side on the five criteria. "Not stated" means the vendor's own pages did not say, not that the feature is missing.

Why Wilyer Comes Out Ahead for Indian Buyers
A scorecard tells you who ticks a box. This section explains why each box matters in an Indian rollout, and what Wilyer does with it.
1. Made in India, for Indian Businesses
Wilyer is built in India by Wilyer Private Limited, a Gurugram company that has been making digital signage since 2019. The product has grown up on Indian deployments: hospital networks for L&T, internal screens inside NTPC's own network, 700+ screens for Hindware and devotee information at Ayodhya railway station.
That shows in the details Indian buyers care about: prices in rupees with GST shown, payment through Razorpay, support from a team in India with guided installation during the trial, and features such as token and queue displays built into the same platform. Four of the seven tools here are made in India; Wilyer is the one that pairs it with rupee pricing, on-premise and a 15-screen trial.
| Software | Made in India | Based in |
|---|---|---|
| Wilyer | Made in India | Gurugram, India |
| Pickcel | Made in India | Bangalore, India |
| JioSignage | Made in India | India (Jio) |
| piSignage | Made in India | Bangalore, India |
| Navori | No | Switzerland, with an office in Noida |
| Xibo | No | United Kingdom |
| Yodeck | No | United States, with its main team in Greece |
Company locations are from each company's own site or its public company profile.
2. Rupee Billing You Can Plan Around
Only three of the seven show rupee prices, and only Wilyer and Pickcel say plainly that GST is added on top. That matters at budget time: a dollar or pound invoice moves with the exchange rate every month, and your finance team needs a GST invoice to claim input credit.
Wilyer Pro is ₹1,200 per screen a month or ₹12,000 a year, plus GST, billed per screen with no minimum. Yearly billing saves 17%. Payment runs through Razorpay in rupees (or Stripe in dollars outside India), and there are no hidden fees and no lock-in: you can cancel any time. Every Pro screen includes unlimited users, unlimited uploads and the full feature set, so the per-screen price is the whole price.
3. Cloud or Your Own Servers, From One Vendor
Banks, hospitals, government offices and power plants often cannot send content or screen data to a public cloud. Wilyer runs the same platform both ways: start in the cloud, or put the server inside your own network on the Enterprise plan.
This is not a slide in a deck. L&T runs a 75-screen on-premise IPTV and signage network on Wilyer across the hospitals of the PMCH project, with Wilyer media players driving TVs that were never smart. NTPC runs its internal communication screens on a custom Wilyer server inside its own network, delivered in two weeks and installed in two days. Pickcel and Navori also offer on-premise, and Xibo can be self-hosted, but none of them combines it with a stated free trial, rupee pricing with GST and a ten-platform player list.
4. The Longest Player List of the Seven
Most Indian screen networks are a mix: Android TVs in one branch, Samsung or LG commercial displays in another, Fire TV Sticks on older TVs, and a few Raspberry Pis that someone set up years ago. Replacing players is often the biggest hidden cost of switching software.
Wilyer names ten player platforms: Android, Windows, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, ChromeOS, Fire TV Stick, Amazon Signage Stick, BrightSign, Linux and Raspberry Pi. That is more than any other tool here (Pickcel names nine, Yodeck eight, Navori seven, piSignage and Xibo five), and Wilyer is the only one that names Raspberry Pi and BrightSign together with Tizen, webOS, ChromeOS and Linux. In practice, the screens you already own almost certainly run it. See every Wilyer player app.
5. The Biggest Trial, With Nothing Held Back
A two-screen trial tells you whether the software works. A fifteen-screen trial tells you whether it works across a real branch. Wilyer's free trial runs for 14 days on up to 15 screens with every Pro feature and no card, and it includes technical support and guided installation. Of the tools that state a trial size, that is the largest: Yodeck's covers up to 5 screens and Xibo's 2 players.
6. Control Over Every Screen, From One Dashboard
Once screens are live, the day-to-day work is keeping them right. Wilyer is built for that:
- See every screen: live screenshots, online and offline status, and screens on a map by location, with folders to group branches.
- Fix screens remotely: restart the app or clear its cache from the dashboard, set brightness and on/off schedules, and lock the player in kiosk mode so nobody changes its settings.
- Keep playing offline: downloaded content keeps running when the internet drops.
- Control who does what: unlimited team members with user roles and permissions.
- Prove what played: proof-of-play reports you can export to CSV or Excel.
- Reach every screen at once: push an urgent notice to all screens together.
7. More Than Signage on the Same Platform
Wilyer is not only a playlist tool. Layouts with custom zones, a design canvas, widgets, web pages, live video streaming, tickers and scheduling by layout, playlist or zone are included on every plan. The same platform also runs a queue management system for token and counter displays and an IP broadcast system for organisation-wide announcements, so a hospital or bank branch can run signage, tokens and broadcasts from one vendor and one dashboard. For partners, Wilyer also offers white-label and reseller options and an open API.
8. Proven at Indian Scale
Wilyer has been building digital signage since 2019 and today runs on 20,700+ screens in 350+ cities for 3,500+ companies. Hindware runs 700+ screens on Wilyer's cloud, L&T and NTPC run it on-premise, and Six2O streams live cricket to 48 Samsung Tizen screens with it. Browse all Wilyer case studies.
What to Know Before You Pick Wilyer
Two trade-offs, stated plainly. Wilyer has no free-forever plan: you get the 15-screen trial instead. And its monthly list price is above Pickcel's and Navori's entry plans; the gap narrows with yearly billing (₹12,000 a screen a year), and Wilyer's price includes unlimited users, unlimited uploads and every Pro feature. On-premise is part of the Enterprise plan and may carry implementation costs.
How Did We Compare These Tools?
We read each competitor's pricing and feature pages from an Indian internet connection on 16 October 2026, so the prices are what an Indian buyer sees. For each one we noted the price exactly as shown: the currency, whether it is per screen or per device, monthly or yearly, and whether GST is added. Features come only from each vendor's own pages or documentation, and where a vendor does not publish something, the table says so instead of guessing. Wilyer's facts come from Wilyer's own pricing and product pages.
We did not run every tool in a lab, and we did not invent scores. The seven are the tools with a real presence in India (an office, rupee pricing or Indian clients on their own site) plus the two global tools Indian buyers compare against most, Xibo and Yodeck. Sources: the Wilyer pricing page and each other vendor's own pricing page.
The Other Six, and When Each One Fits
Each of these is a real option for a specific buyer. Here is what each costs, what it does well, and how it differs from Wilyer.
Pickcel
Pickcel is a Bangalore-based platform. Professional is ₹900 per device a month, or ₹810 a month billed yearly; Business is ₹1,500, or ₹1,350 yearly, all plus GST. It has a 14-day trial with all Professional features and names nine player platforms, including BrightSign, Linux and iOS.
- Fits: businesses that want rupee billing and a lower monthly entry price.
- Versus Wilyer: Pickcel lists offline support for images and video, so ask what happens to web pages and streams; it does not name Raspberry Pi; and on-premise is Enterprise-only on both.
JioSignage
JioSignage is Jio's signage platform, sold with its own Full HD and 4K players and "Pan India dedicated service and support".
- Fits: large brands that want players, software and support from one company on a single contract.
- Versus Wilyer: no price or trial is published, so you cannot compare without a sales call, and supported platforms are described only as "leading platforms and legacy screens". Wilyer publishes its price, offers a 15-screen trial and runs on screens you already own.
Navori
Navori is a Swiss company with an office in Noida. Cloud Essential starts from ₹709 per player a month for networks under 250 screens; Cloud Professional and self-hosted Enterprise are priced on quote.
- Fits: enterprises that want self-hosted perpetual licences from a global vendor, including its own StiX player.
- Versus Wilyer: no trial is stated, GST is not mentioned, offline playback was not stated on the pages we checked, and higher plans need a quote.
piSignage
piSignage costs $35 per player for the first year and $20 a year after that, and the first two screens are free.
- Fits: small setups built on Raspberry Pi players with the tightest budget.
- Versus Wilyer: billed in dollars, no Samsung Tizen or LG webOS player is named, and its server is offered to partners with no self-hosting details for end users.
Xibo
Xibo is open-source digital signage from the UK. The cloud plan is £3.50 per display a month or £42 a year, or you can host the CMS yourself. It has a 14-day trial on two players and clear offline documentation.
- Fits: IT teams that want open source and full control, and will run the server themselves.
- Versus Wilyer: billed in pounds, and self-hosting needs your own server, an IT team and paid player licences for Android, webOS, Tizen and ChromeOS. Wilyer's on-premise option comes with the Wilyer team behind it, as L&T and NTPC use it. See our Xibo alternative page.
Yodeck
Yodeck starts at $8 per screen a month, with Premium at $12 and Enterprise at $16, and offers one screen free.
- Fits: a small business with one or two screens that is happy with dollar billing and cloud only.
- Versus Wilyer: no rupee billing, no on-premise option on its pricing page, and its documentation says playback stops 30 to 40 days after a player loses internet. See our Yodeck alternative page.
How Do You Choose Digital Signage Software in India?
Answer these five questions before you shortlist. They are the same five the scorecard is built on, so your answers map straight onto the table above.
Before you shortlist
Choose in 5 Questions
- 1
Screens
How many now, and how many in a year?
- 2
Data
Cloud, or must it stay on your own servers?
- 3
Players
Which TVs and sticks do you already own?
- 4
Offline
What keeps playing when the internet drops?
- 5
Billing
Rupees or dollars, and is GST shown?
- How many screens, now and in a year? Per-screen pricing adds up, so price the network you will have, not the pilot. Make sure the trial is big enough to test a real branch.
- Must your data stay on your own servers? If you are a bank, hospital, government office or plant, ask for on-premise from the start. See cloud vs on-premise digital signage.
- Which players do you already own? List your Android TVs, Fire TV Sticks, Samsung and LG displays, BrightSigns and Raspberry Pis, then match the list to each tool's players. Our guide to smart TVs and commercial displays helps if you are still buying screens.
- What happens when the internet drops? Ask how long downloaded content keeps playing, what stops (web pages and live streams usually do), and whether the dashboard tells you which screens are offline.
- Rupees or dollars, and GST? A rupee price with GST shown is what you will actually pay. A dollar or pound bill moves with your bank's exchange rate.
What Does Digital Signage Software Cost in India?
Most tools charge per screen, per month. Before GST, rupee prices start at ₹709 (Navori) and dollar prices at $8 (Yodeck).
- Wilyer Pro: ₹1,200 per screen a month, or ₹12,000 a year (17% less), plus GST. Every feature, unlimited users and uploads included.
- Example: 20 screens on yearly billing cost ₹2,40,000 a year, plus GST.
- Hidden costs to check: paid player licences, exchange-rate swings on dollar or pound bills, and new players if your screens are not supported.
See the Wilyer pricing page or our pricing guide, and check the latest offers with our sales team.
How to Run a Fair Trial
Whichever tools you shortlist, test them the same way, on your own screens:
- Pair a real screen from each player type you own, not just the easiest one.
- Build one layout with a video, an image, a ticker and a web page, and schedule it for business hours.
- Switch off the internet on one player and note what keeps playing and for how long.
- Restart a screen remotely and check you can see its status and a live screenshot from the dashboard.
- Add a colleague with limited permissions and export a proof-of-play report.
Wilyer's 15-screen trial is sized for exactly this test across a whole branch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Is the Best Digital Signage Software in India?
For most Indian businesses, Wilyer. Of the seven tools we compared, it is the only one that shows rupee prices with GST, offers a free trial, runs in the cloud or on your own servers, plays offline and names players from Raspberry Pi to BrightSign. Pick piSignage if the lowest price on Raspberry Pi is all that matters, Yodeck for one free screen, or Xibo if you want open source and have an IT team to run it.
Is There Made-in-India Digital Signage Software?
Yes. Wilyer is made in India by Wilyer Private Limited in Gurugram and has been building digital signage since 2019. It bills in rupees with GST shown and runs in the cloud or on your own servers. Pickcel, piSignage (both Bangalore) and JioSignage are the other Indian tools in this comparison.
Is There Free Digital Signage Software?
Yes, with limits. Yodeck has a free plan for one screen and piSignage is free for the first two screens. Xibo's CMS is open source if you host it yourself. Wilyer has no free plan, but its 14-day trial covers 15 screens with every Pro feature and no card, the biggest trial by screen count of the tools that state one.
What Is the Cheapest Digital Signage Software in India?
By list price, piSignage: $35 per player for the first year, then $20 a year. Among the tools that show rupee prices, Navori's Cloud Essential plan starts from ₹709 per player a month. Compare the full cost, though: the billing currency, GST, player licences and what is included. Wilyer Pro is ₹12,000 per screen a year plus GST, with unlimited users and uploads and every Pro feature included.
Which Digital Signage Software Works With the TV I Already Own?
Wilyer names the most players of the seven: Android, Windows, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, ChromeOS, Fire TV Stick, Amazon Signage Stick, BrightSign, Linux and Raspberry Pi. Android TVs and Fire TV Sticks also work with most other tools here. Raspberry Pi is supported by Wilyer, piSignage and Yodeck.
Should I Choose Cloud or On-Premise Digital Signage?
Cloud is quicker to start and needs no server. On-premise keeps content and data inside your own network, which banks, government offices, hospitals and power plants often require. Wilyer runs both from the same platform: L&T runs a 75-screen on-premise network on it across the PMCH hospitals, and NTPC runs its internal screens on a Wilyer server inside its own network. Pickcel offers on-premise on Enterprise, Navori sells self-hosted licences and Xibo's CMS can be self-hosted.
Does Digital Signage Software Work Without Internet?
Most tools here keep playing content already downloaded to the player, but web pages and live streams usually stop. Wilyer plays offline and shows each screen's online or offline status in the dashboard. Yodeck says playback stops 30 to 40 days after a player loses internet, and Xibo sends content two days ahead by default.
Do These Prices Include GST?
No. Wilyer's and Pickcel's rupee prices are shown plus GST, and Navori's page does not say. Dollar and pound prices are what each vendor shows on its own site, and your bank applies its exchange rate when you pay.
